While you hope that your current or potential romantic partners see attractiveness as being beyond skin deep, physical attraction tends to be a key factor in building a romantic connection. The good news is that physical beauty is subjective—at least that's what 68 percent of respondents to YouGov's 2021 Body Image Study say. In addition to asking more than 1,300 U.S. adults how they feel about their own bodies, the survey asked men and women what they find attractive and unattractive in a romantic partner, including the physical attributes they tend to prefer in a companion.
